Laboratory Corporation of America IT Field Product Analyst/Specialist in Waterbury, Connecticut

  • Travel to customer and LabCorp sites to provide IT support for hardware and software

  • Install and service various IT equipment within assigned territory for internal and external IT customers

  • Triage and report client issues to the appropriate department

  • Train clients on use of LabCorp computerized systems along with initial and on-going training for various EMR systems to ensure proper utilization and client satisfaction

  • Collaborate with various functional groups including sales, lab operations, senior leadership and third party vendors to provide resolutions in a timely manner

  • Build and cultivate strong working relationships with the clients in order to solidify their continued business

  • Build strategic partnerships with the sales team to ensure we are accurately addressing the client needs, building a comfortably level with the client, and delivering exceptional results

  • Use EMR knowledge to overcome implementation challenges to ensure a smooth roll out and avoid any potential delays

  • Perform analysis of client ordering patterns to offer electronic recommendations in order to improve efficiencies and production levels


  • Associate's degree is required; preferably in Information Technology or Medical Technology

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred

  • Minimum 3 of experience in a IT or Healthcare related field

  • Prior experience in a laboratory environment working with different EMR vendors and/or Labs on connectivity projects is a plus

  • Ability to travel to various work locations in a given region on a regular basis

  • IT Certifications are a plus; A+, MCSA, Networking + Ability to interact professionally with various departments and various levels of leadership

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

  • Flexibility to work different schedules as needed and cover rotating on-call schedules




Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)
