Laboratory Corporation of America Surgical Pathologist - Solid Tumor in Town of Shelton, Connecticut
LabCorp is currently seeking a Surgical Pathologist with strong solid tumor experience to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Medical Director who oversees both Dianon and Integrated Oncology, this subspecialty Staff Pathologist will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely evaluation of surgical specimens as part of a solid tumor pathology team at Integrated Oncology.
Individual diagnostic evaluation and case sign-out of Surgical Pathology specimens
Surgical pathology consultations, IHC interpretation, molecular and FISH sign-out, and triage of testing
Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
Oversight and assurance of accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies
Provide expert consultation as needed with clients and staff, in person, by phone or electronically
MD Pathologist with board certification in Anatomic Pathology
Fellowship training and strong experience with solid tumor pathology
2-5 years of post-training experience ideally in a high volume laboratory setting
Eligibility for CT licensing requirements
Current NYDOH qualification/eligibility
8am-5pm (estimated) with rotating coverage of Saturday
