Monogram is seeking a General Manager to join its team in South San Francisco. This position is responsible for the overall quality of services rendered to laboratory clients. The General Manager will oversee Monogram Biosciences' financial, strategic and operational goals.


  • Create and adhere to business unit budget in order to meet desired economic objectives

  • Regularly review financial performance and make operating decisions to achieve revenue and profitability goals

  • Oversee the management of laboratories

  • Interact with other members of the senior management team to ensure company-wide achievement of strategic and operational goals

  • Develop and implement effective strategic plan for laboratories

  • Communicate with managers to review and adjust priorities to assure coordination of daily operations

  • Supervise senior managers and review performance and progress toward objectives

  • Report status of labs regularly to LabCorp senior management

  • Approve purchases and payment of supplies, materials, and capital purchases to ensure budget compliance

  • Ensure overall integrity of business and maintenance of quality and performance standards

  • Interact with clients as necessary to resolve service issues and establish collaborative studies involving testing

  • Interact with marketing to produce technically accurate promotional materials, and to grow the business

  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Monogram, CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory bodies

  • Interact with subsidiaries and other business units to expand best practices across the enterprise

  • Support sales and marketing initiatives through dedicated executive field time


  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field of study or related Scientific Field required

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience

  • Previous Business development experience a plus

  • Previous P&L and budgeting responsibility required
