Laboratory Corporation of America Laboratory Quality Assurance Coordinator in San Diego, California

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring complete and accurate readiness for all inspections

  • Maintain all necessary documents and materials required for inspections

  • Provides backup inspection support to laboratory during inspections

  • Assists with internal audits and audit reports

  • Preparing recurring quality reports for laboratory operations

  • Stay current with all regulatory agency and proficiency test requirements

  • Proper initiation and use of Master Control forms for audit purposes

  • May participate in monthly Quality Meeting and compose minutes

  • Any other delegated task as assigned


  • Associates or Bachelors in Medical Technology or a Life Science

  • ASCP or ASQ certification is a plus

  • Prior experience in a quality related position is preferred

  • General knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA) and licensing requirements

  • Must be familiar with QC rules and their application within the laboratory

  • General understanding of audit related requirements and procedures

  • Working knowledge of quality assurance best practices

  • Must possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, oral and written skills

  • Well organized and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint




Tuesday - Saturday (7:00am - 3:30pm)
