MedTox Forensic Workplace Drug Testing team is seeking a Supervisor. This position supervises staff and oversees workflow in the forensic lab. This is a 3rd shift position.
Supervise employees; maintain employee work/vacation schedules, evaluate and manage employee performance, communicate expectations and goals, disciplinary actions and/or improvement plans, perform bi-annual appraisals and reviews
Evaluate departmental staffing needs; interview, evaluate and select candidates
Determine work procedures and expedite work flow to maintain departmental / client TAT expectations
Participate in external / internal inspections as required by CAP and/or SAMSHA or other governing agencies
Maintain up-to-date laboratory procedures (SOPs)
Oversee inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies needed to perform testing
Ensure laboratory staff is maintaining quality assurance while performing testing
Participate in performing routine testing
Build strong interdepartmental relationships/partnerships
Provide excellent customer service to external clients
Administer policies consistently and fairly

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
Six years of Laboratory experience required
Two plus years of proven leadership experience, ability to lead and direct staff, lead by example
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including written, verbal, and listening skills
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent research and problem resolution skills
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Required Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Seven years of Laboratory experience required
Two plus years of Toxicology experience, including extraction prep work and data analysis for LCMS/MS, HPLC, GCMS, and GC systems
3rd shift, Mon-Thurs 9:30 PM-8AM; OR Sun-thurs 1130/PM-8AM
