Laboratory Corporation of America Laboratory Operations Assistant - Central Extractions (2nd Shift) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
The Integrated Oncology and Integrated Genetics divisions of LabCorp are seeking a Laboratory Operations Assistant to join their Molecular Central Extractions team! The Molecular Central Extractions department supports testing performed in the Molecular Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Oncology, and Clinical Trials departments.
This position will have second shift hours from 3:00PM -- 11:30PM, Tuesday-Saturday.
Tracking and receiving samples in lab's computer systems.
Assisting lab staff with organizing and filing quality control documentation.
Monitoring lists of samples pending testing and notifying appropriate testing staff.
Taking inventory and ordering laboratory supplies.
Corresponding with other laboratory support groups to resolve client inquiries and concerns.
Reviewing test orders prior to specimen processing to ensure sample type is appropriate and all necessary information is included. This includes identifying mis-orders and contacting clients to obtain information necessary to complete testing performed at CMBP.

High school diploma or equivalent (AA degree preferred).
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.
2nd Shift (Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.)
