LabCorp has an opportunity for a Managed Care Regional Account Director covering the Northeast. The Managed Care Regional Account Director will be responsible for business development of LabCorp's Specialty Testing Group's Managed Care initiatives. In addition, the Regional Account Director with focus on market access for LabCorp's oncology tests nationally. The Managed Care Regional Account Director will report to the Vice President, Managed Care, Specialty Testing. The selected candidate will work independently under general guidance usually with some latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
Principal Functional Responsibilities:
Articulate LabCorp's value proposition and communicate LabCorp's specialty testing offering including genetics, pathology, and esoteric testing to health plan and payer contracting and medical teams.
Secure coverage and reimbursement for new technology and focus tests.
Work with health plans to improve coverage positions for specialty tests.
Lead national initiatives to establish market access for LabCorp's novel oncology tests.
Review and respond to proposals and contracts. Negotiate pricing, execution and implementation of the contracts for IPAs and selected Managed Care accounts. Review contracts from a financial and operational basis and work with division/regional business development, financial and contract administrators in order to represent all LabCorp's interests in contract negotiations.

License/Certification/ Education: Normally B.S. Degree required w/5+ years of experience. Preferred degree(s): Business; Business Administration, Science or related degree Strongly preferred: M.B.A. in Business; Master of Science (MS) Healthcare Management
Normally requires a Valid Driver's License along with a clean driving record.
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities | Experience
Knowledge of principles of Managed Care, including plan types (HMOs, PPOs, etc.), and understanding of progressive health care dynamics including value based care and risk-sharing
Managed Care - experience working with network management and contracting, sales and lab background a plus
Proven track record of implementing market access plans for new technologies, experience with oncology market is strongly desired
Possess professional, articulate as well as financially astute negotiation skills.
Strong presentation skills and superior negotiation ; analytical, communication and PC skills
Ability to serve as internal SME for managed care team for genetic, pathology, and esoteric testing
Understanding of capitated and fee-for service reimbursement arrangements and knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
