Laboratory Corporation of America Physical Scientist in Quantico, Virginia

Responsible for assisting the Forensic Examiners with processing and examining of trace evidence (hairs and fibers) and forensic material associated with IEDs. May also assist in setting up instruments and related equipment for use in field testing and evaluation of explosive material. Interact and collaborate with other groups / team members and other forensic staff to ensure a high quality and accurate product.


Bachelor's Degree in a natural science or a closely related field from an accredited university/college with a minimum of 24 credit hours in physical or life sciences (chemistry, biology, geology, etc.). Prefer 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Scientist in an accredited laboratory. Successful completion and passage of the training requirements and successful completion of a competency test within the time period as set forth, required. Top Secret Security Clearance Needed for this position.




Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm
