MedTox Forensic Laboratory Team is seeking a Senior Technologist Float. The Forensic Senior Technologist Float performs all tasks required of a Technologist and must maintain competency in multiple areas of the lab. The Senior Technologist Float will be trained in all areas of the Forensic lab and will frequently move between benches and functions to meet business needs. In addition to performing Technologist duties in various departments the Senior Technologist Float may also be responsible for, but not limited to:
Assisting with validation work
Assisting with special projects as assigned by supervisor / manager
Apply QC practices and procedures to the review, interpretation and reporting of results. Monitor the maintenance of chain of custody documentation
Take proper remedial action in response to test systems being out of control limits; detect aberrant tests or quality control results and takes appropriate action
Assist technologists in troubleshooting and corrective action when needed
Perform testing as required
All duties and responsibilities of Screens, Extractions, and Instrumentation Technologists

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
At least 4 years of experience in a laboratory
Experience in at least two areas of the lab (Extractions, Screens, and/or Instrumentation [GCMS/GC/LCMS/HPLC])
Must meet CLIA requirements
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time
Excellent research and problem resolution skills
Must be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Work effectively in fast paced high volume environment
Monday-Friday 8am-430 pm
