Laboratory Corporation of America Administrative Assistant in Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota
The Administrative Specialist will perform a variety of advanced administrative duties for the MedTox Clinical Laboratories including clerical and quality functions. In addition, the specialist will complete, monitor and assist with specific projects as assigned by the Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring of Laboratory Performance--prioritization of specimens, turnaround time and pending monitoring, tracking of testing delays
Maintenance and preliminary review of laboratory documentation
Monitoring of incoming shipments and test volume
SOP writing and revisions
Preparation of data for reports
Preparation of reports and presentations
Planning, hosting and communicating company events and recognitions
Orientation of new team members
Training new team members on non-technical topics
Extra tasks as required by the Laboratories
Required Education, Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
High School diploma, with 3+ years in a healthcare environment.
Prior administrative experience preferred.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple departments, personalities, and levels within an organization
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to effectively communicate status to key stakeholders
Proficient in preparation of presentations and reports
Exhibits eagerness and creative mechanisms to engage fellow employees through orientation and company events
Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (flexible)
