Labcorp Hospital Laboratory Quality, Safety and Compliance Manager - Miami, FL in Miami, Florida
Oversees the Quality Management program for a large hospital laboratory system (multiple locations)
Conducts inspections and works directly with laboratory management team for performance improvement actions.
Oversees the quality and safety committee - Varied department representatives
Monitors metrics and is responsible for continuous improvement planning
Prepares monthly quality reports for senior leadership
Oversees general laboratory policy and procedures (administrative procedure manual, ex. chemical hygiene, infection control)
Ensures inspection readiness with the hospital regulatory team
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science
Minimum 5 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for Technologist level
ASCP or AMT certification is required
Proficiency with reporting, data analytics and MS Excel skills are needed.
Proficiency with creating flow charts and must have strong presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards - CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, etc.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems required
High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
In order to ensure the safety of our patients, this position requires as part of the post-offer onboarding process, successful completion of medical surveillance testing which includes: TB testing; proof of immunity or vaccination for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR; annual flu vaccination; and color blind deficiency testing (if required by position) unless an exemption is request pursuant to federal state or local law.
