Labcorp Hospital Laboratory Quality, Safety and Compliance Manager - Miami, FL in Miami, Florida

  • Oversees the Quality Management program for a large hospital laboratory system (multiple locations)

  • Conducts inspections and works directly with laboratory management team for performance improvement actions.

  • Oversees the quality and safety committee - Varied department representatives

  • Monitors metrics and is responsible for continuous improvement planning

  • Prepares monthly quality reports for senior leadership

  • Oversees general laboratory policy and procedures (administrative procedure manual, ex. chemical hygiene, infection control)

  • Ensures inspection readiness with the hospital regulatory team

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science

  • Minimum 5 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for Technologist level

  • ASCP or AMT certification is required

  • Proficiency with reporting, data analytics and MS Excel skills are needed.

  • Proficiency with creating flow charts and must have strong presentation skills.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards - CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems required

  • High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

In order to ensure the safety of our patients, this position requires as part of the post-offer onboarding process, successful completion of medical surveillance testing which includes: TB testing; proof of immunity or vaccination for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR; annual flu vaccination; and color blind deficiency testing (if required by position) unless an exemption is request pursuant to federal state or local law.




Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Hours may vary
