Laboratory Corporation of America Project Administrator (Project Manager) - Remote in McLeansville, North Carolina

Labcorp is seeking a Project Administrator (Project Manager), Program Management Office (PMO) - Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) who will be responsible for leading and managing strategic projects and programs within the organization, using project management skills, tools and methodologies, and serve as the subject matter expert for project management in a broader corporate effort.

The Program Management Office provides leadership to drive and track transformational, multi-functional development programs and government-mandated initiatives in a complex, multi-entity, multi-stake holder, and multi-system environment.

Tangible results will be measured through program delivery, improved cross-functional planning, coordination, and the implementation of processes and tools (on-time, efficiently and with minimal surprises).

  • Collaborate with multiple departmental, divisional, and corporate teams, up to the SVP level using broad business, healthcare industry and LabCorp business knowledge, along with influence, discernment and decision making skills in order to frame a project's objectives, scope and ongoing management of the project.

  • Manage the day-to-day aspects of a project; typically a cross-functional project impacting multiple areas in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and, at times, departments outside of RCM. This includes managing the project team, tasks, milestones/deliverables and communication, including alerting senior management, up to the SVP level, in multiple business units.Work closely with business owners to achieve the objectives and goals of the project and act as an advisor and consultant to the business unit as it relates to the project.

  • Facilitate meetings, workshops and work sessions with employees at all levels of the organization, including SVPs, to drive the project's progress.

  • Address and work to resolve any shortfalls with project plan deliverables. Ensure appropriate identification of root causes of project issues through effective use of data analysis tools and techniques and coordinate corrective actions for project plan and project implementation issues.

  • Create and establish meaningful reporting and communication tools surrounding key initiatives that support a project's progress. Prepare and present findings to Sr. Leadership, up to the SVP level, with recommendations, risks, mitigation and action plans.

  • Work with significant autonomy and require only casual supervision.

  • Travel required 10%-30% as necessary to help with supporting and implementing projects.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in project leadership, change management, and cross-functional team management

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Champion new initiatives; act as a catalyst for change and stimulate others to change; manage implementation effectively

  • Ability to think strategically, using their experience and knowledge when considering a broad range of project factors; recognize strategic opportunities for success

  • Must be team-oriented with ability to bring people together; lead and direct in the development of specific goals and objectives

  • Ability to create, motivate and facilitate cross-team collaboration across business units to deliver on project and organizational objectives

  • Must possess excellent PC skills: (MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Experience in process-improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies a plus


License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a Bachelor's Degree in appropriate academic areas w/5-7 year applicable work experience.
