Our Itasca branch is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in a Leadership role.

The Specimen Accessioner/Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures. ' The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday 5PM-1:30AM. Will also work every other Saturday 5PM-11PM. Must be flexible and able to work other shifts when providing coverage at other locations.

.Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Assist the supervisor with ensuring efficient workflow within the department * Guide and assist employee's regarding department processes & procedures * Order supplies * Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing * Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas * Accurately identify and label specimens * Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities * Meet department activity and production goals * Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples * Data entry of QA and patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Resolve and document any problem specimens

Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * At least 1-2 yrs experience working in a clinical lab environment * Team Lead or other leadership experience strongly preferred * Ability to accurately identify specimens * Experience working in a team environment * Strong data entry and organizational skills * High level of attention to detail * Proficient in MS Office * Ability to lift up to 40lbs. * Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of applicable experience. Normally requires a Valid Driver's License along with a clean driving record.




Monday - Friday 5:00 pm - 1:30 am Every other Saturday 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm Hours will vary depending on needs of hospital coverage.
