The Integrated Genetics Division is seeking a Cytogenetics Technologist to join their Cytogenetics department in the areas of Prenatal Chromosomes and Microarrayteam in Houston, TX! This position will be responsible for performing all routine and special Cytogenetics procedures, microscopic analysis, and maintaining quality control.

The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

• Analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens

• Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis

• Summarizes test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature

• Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results

• Performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment

• Perform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as needed

• Comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors in Biology or other Life Science

• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (CG) preferred

• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience

• Great communications skills
