Colorado Coagulation, part of LabCorp Specialty Testing Group is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to work in our laboratory in Englewood, CO (right outside of Denver)! Colorado Coagulation is an internationally recognized leader in the field of hemostasis. The schedule for this position will be: Monday -- Friday, 3:00pm -- 11:30pm

Shift differential offered for 2 nd shift


  • Perform functional testing (e.g. factor assays, von Willebrand levels, inhibitor evaluations) on patient samples in a highly complex hemostasis laboratory

  • Evaluate samples to determine appropriateness of patient results in the setting of sample matrix, anticoagulant status and clinical relevance

  • Tests specimens according to established procedures

  • If assay performs according to specifications, report results via instrument interface or manual entry in the LIS

  • Independently troubleshoot simple and complex assay problems and provide suggestions to management as needed

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, document PM appropriately, make minor repairs and immediately contact appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs

  • Participate in all quality aspects of our CAP and ISO 15189 accredited laboratory operation

  • Document all quality assurance activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance

  • Follow standard operating procedures regarding acceptance and rejection of results including reviewing all quality control acceptability and record all remedial actions if runs are not acceptable. Alert management to problems in quality control methods and procedures

  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies


  • BS degree in Medical Technology or life science field (Biology, Chemistry or related field)

  • ASCP Technologist (MT, MLS, CLS) certification required

  • 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred

  • Previous experience using micropipettes preferred




2nd shift, Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
