Labcorp Content Marketing Manager in Durham, North Carolina

Looking for a dynamic Content Marketing Manager to develop and edit marketing content across different channels. With a combination mindset of marketing and publishing, this manager will have proven success in content marketing and a natural ability to write optimized content for different audiences, ensuring a 'customer first' approach.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Working with Director, develop cross-channel content strategy and editorial calendar

  • Research, create, and edit content for all marketing vehicles: emails, website, social, direct mail

  • Pull together engaging content, carefully proof and edit content, then hand over for publishing or broadcast

  • Tell a compelling story through each email, landing page, direct mail piece, and social campaign

  • Copyedit web and print content to ensure overall accuracy and consistency

  • Engage with relevant social media channels for appropriate content programs

  • Maintain consistent voice that represents the brand, adjusting tone and style for each audience

  • Balance business objectives, stakeholder demands, and trending topics with customer expectations to deliver an impactful and meaningful message

  • Ensure content assignments come in, are published, and retired (if applicable) on schedule

  • Support other departments through collaboration on story ideas, copyediting, and proofreading

  • Analyze results, oversee content testing, and ensure content strategy meets objectives


  • Experience with telling a story using words, images, and/or video and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience

  • Ability to think of the customer first, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it

  • Ability to create long-form content and real-time (immediate) content

  • A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly

  • Ability to work within monthly and weekly deadlines

  • Very strong editor and proofreader with exceptional organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Extreme attention to detail and obsessive about correct spelling, spacing, and punctuation

  • Creative and thoughtful with great powers of persuasion and presentation

  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA preferred

In this pandemic we are flexible on location. However, as our workplaces open, there are specific hub locations we will expect our ideal candidate to work from:

  • Princeton, New Jersey

  • Research Triangle Park, North Carolina

  • Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Madison, Wisconsin




Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
