Laboratory Corporation of America Sr Network Security Engineer - Palo Alto in Burlington, North Carolina
Reviews, analyzes, designs, compiles, and evaluates complex data on standardization and protocols of methodology and equipment.
May lead a project team.
Makes recommendations to management and coordinates implementation of new equipment/methodologies.
Ensures timely completion of projects and meeting deadlines of project.
Instructs, directs and checks the work of other Project Analysts.
Assists less experienced analysts in problem resolution.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience with network/security solutions and technologies
Minimum of 3 years' experience leading security solutions in large environments
Experience in Public/Private cloud preferred Experience with IDS/IPS solutions and technologies
Experience working with PanOS and Panorama Extensive
Experience designing, deploying and Optimizing Palo Alto Networks` Next Generation Firewalls.
Experience leading security solutions in large environments
Deep understanding of different security threats, internet protocols, and applications
Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances.
Palo Alto required.
Strong TCP/IP networking skills, Cisco networking Extensive background in inter-networking, LAN, and WAN technologies required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confirmed ability to communicate to senior leaders and technical peers
Project leadership experience; ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks in service of end goals
Strong understanding of VM firewalls in the cloud (AWS, GPC or Azure) preferred Effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly in high pressure
BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience

Normal business hours Eastern time. Some flexibility with start time. Frequent night and weekend work to support projects and operations. On call rotation
