Laboratory Corporation of America Senior Lab Analytics Specialist in Burlington, North Carolina
Summary
The Senior Lab Analytics Specialist instructs, directs, and checks the work of others involved in analytics team concerning laboratory utilization. This laboratory and analytical professional works cooperatively with medical, scientific leaders, and service directors to adapt and evolve analytics service.
Responsibilities :
Laboratory Utilization Analysis
Develop, lead, and deliver utilization assessments for hospital and provider organization laboratories
Meet client needs in evaluating reference lab test utilization and client's internal lab test utilization
Perform and create analysis work
Coordinates with sales team to present findings to clients
Support questions from clients and sales team
Public Health Report Development
- Supports data and analysis work for public health initiatives
Custom Analytics Report Development
Supports HHS and VBC sales organization and divisional leadership in defining and building analytics reports that support distinct needs of large health system client
Works with HHS leadership to vet and prioritize projects
Insight Analytics Report Testing and Reviews
Supports new client-facing report validation reviews and logic
Leads Insight Analytics report reviews with scientific and medical team
Drives legal reviews and approvals (report content, authorization letters, etc.)
Services as demands dictate.
Requirements
License/Certification/Education : B.S. Degree in science, with degree in Medical Lab Science preferred. ASCP certification (MLS) past or present, a plus.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
Multiple years of Clinical Laboratory experience in a Hospital/Health System
Experience performing and leading Laboratory Utilization Analyses
Experience interacting with Clinical and Administrative Health System Leaders
Familiarity with best practices in laboratory utilization preferred
Experience with developing product service offerings, preferred
Strong interest and background in clinical data analysis required
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau; Alteryx, R (Linear Regression); Python, preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Skilled at managing multiple hard deadlines at once with a keen sense of prioritization
