Laboratory Corporation of America Communications Manager in Burlington, North Carolina
The Communications Manager is a new role to support the delivery of exceptional communications for the company. We are seeking a professional with strong and versatile written communications skills who can develop strategic communications content for multiple platforms to engage employees and advance business priorities.
Supporting execution of a communications strategy to engage and empower internal and external audiences.
Delivering exceptional written and oral communications to support various communications plans for senior executives, strategies and tactics including speeches, video and podcast scripts, articles/blog posts, social media posts, employee communications, and presentations.
Planning and managing all-employee town halls and other events.
Interacting with key stakeholders to be proactive in addressing critical communication issues, needs and opportunities.
Continuously looking for ways to improve communication processes and identifying critical communication opportunities.
Developing content and executing against rigorous deadlines.
Other miscellaneous communications needs as they arise.
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or English preferred. Master's degree highly desirable.
Three to five years of experience in communications including speechwriting, internal/employee communications, public relations and social media.
Superior written communication and editing skills.
Exceptional project management skills in managing multiple projects/deadlines; ability to set priorities and be flexible with changing environments.
Strong interpersonal skills; diplomatic, collaborative, and responsive.
Monday - Friday, 8 - 5 p.m.
