Requirements: License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.A./B.S. in Biology or related life science to include completion of 16 credit hours of Biology, 16 credit hours of Chemistry, and 3 credit hours of math. Must be ASCP certified with 7 years of experience in Cytogenetics, 6 years at the Technologist level. FISH experience is preferred.
Job Description:
The Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology is seeking a Cytogenetics Team Leader to join their FISH team! This position will have second shift hours from 3pm –11:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday.
This position performs laboratory procedures in a Sr. Technologist capacity in accordance with standard procedures. Assists in preparation of diagnostic reports by Director or Pathologist. The team lead would be responsible for the FISH group, audit reports, checking folders, answering questions, scope training, and specimen processing in the culture room and at the microscope. Previous FISH experience is preferred.
