* Master degree in quantitative field, such as Statistics, Engineering, or Advanced Analytics.
* At least 1 year experience using SQL and statistical analysis software.
* Experience aggregating data from disparate sources.
* Proven record of applying analytic techniques in innovative ways to complex problems.
* Strong information visualization skills required.Qualifications:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complicated analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Statistical programming experience with R, SAS, or similar statistical programming languages.
* Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as SAS Macro, Perl, Python, Java, Processing, or Octave, is a plus.
* Expertise with graphic design programming is a plus.
* Prior experience in health care fields is a plus.
* The desired candidate with haveexcitement for bleeding edge analytics in health care and a positive attitude towards solving real world challenges.
Job Description: The ClinicalAnalytical Specialistposition will work on key initiatives directed at making LabCorp the leader in personalized diagnostic medicine. The candidate will work directly with members of the business, information technology, and science communities to grow LabCorp’s capabilities in the space, and will perform complex data manipulation and analysis relating to these initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Collect data from disparate sources, including relational databases, flat files, various 3rdparty sources, etc., and synthesizes data into analytical data sets.
* Develop and score both classification and predictive models.
* Create information-rich data visualizations and reports from complex data.
* Manage prioritizes appropriately, meet deadlines, and satisfy commitments.
* Provide strategic input for Master Data Management team to optimize enterprise analytical capabilities.
* Research areas for growing analytical opportunities and assist in the strategic plan develop for realizing these opportunities.
* Build skills in analytical areas relating to pattern recognition, machine learning, knowledge discovery, and information retrieval techniques.
* Build knowledge of health care business processes, including billing, results delivery, clinical trials, marketing, diagnostic testing, and the identification of markers and genetic characteristics of disease.
* Performs other tasks, as assigned.
