Job Description: Integrated Oncology is currently seeking a Manager to lead the Immunohistchemisry (IHC)/Histology group. The IHC/Histology Lab Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IHC/Histology/Imaging laboratory and supervision of the technical staff. This includes being responsible for identification and implementation of process improvements and performance management against corporate, departmental and personal goals. It is critically important that the successful candidate have superior organizational and operational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively. The individual should possess the ability to work independently, yet also effectively participate as part of a team. The successful candidate will work closely with pathologists and other departments to effectively meet operation needs and ensure that histology staff adheres to these needs while conducting high quality work.
The candidate must also be self-motivated, be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, ability to work under tight timelines and thrive with high degree of responsibility. Minimum of BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry or other related science. Five plus years of experience in a clinical lab with at least 3 years of management experience. ASCP QIHC qualification is a plus.
